What does replacing a consumer unit cost in Belgrade?
A full guide to consumer unit prices in Belgrade — what drives the figure, what is included, and how not to overpay.
One of the questions we get most often is: what does it cost to replace a consumer unit? The answer depends on several things, and this article breaks all of them down so you know what you are paying for and why.
Indicative prices in Belgrade (2026)
| Job | Indicative price (excluding materials) |
|---|---|
| Breaker replacement (each) | from 2,500 RSD |
| RCD replacement | 3,000 – 6,000 RSD |
| Full board replacement (flat up to 60 m²) | 25,000 – 45,000 RSD |
| Full board replacement (flat 60–100 m²) | 40,000 – 70,000 RSD |
| New board, fitted, including materials | 60,000 – 120,000 RSD |
Note: These are indicative and depend on the number of circuits, the grade of materials and the state of the existing installation. The figures are final: we are not registered for VAT, so no tax is added on top.
What drives the price
1. Number of circuits
Every circuit — lighting, sockets, cooker, washing machine, air conditioning — needs its own breaker. More circuits means a bigger board and a higher price.
2. Grade of materials
The gap between a cheap board and a good one can be 15,000–30,000 RSD. We recommend Hager, Schneider Electric or ABB — established brands with a warranty behind them.
3. State of the existing installation
If the wiring is old and parts of it have to be replaced along with the board, the price rises. This only becomes clear on inspection.
4. Accessibility
Boards in cellars, service shafts or awkward positions take more work to reach and to wire.
What is included
Every board replacement we do covers:
- removing the old board
- fitting the new board with all its components
- labelling every circuit permanently
- insulation and RCD testing on completion
- photo documentation of the finished work
- a warranty on the work carried out
Why the cheapest quote is not the cheapest
The consumer unit is the heart of a flat's installation. A badly built one causes:
- fire from overheating at poor joints
- damage to expensive electronics from unstable supply
- problems when selling the flat, where evidence of condition is asked for
Always ask for a quote that includes measurements on completion — that is the only way to know the job was done properly.
Getting an accurate estimate
Send photos of your existing board through the form on the homepage. We reply with an indicative price before travelling, with no obligation. The photos usually show the circuit count, the protection type and whether the wiring is aluminium or copper straight away — the three things that move the price most.
For what the work itself involves, see the page on consumer unit replacement.
