Electrician in Zemun
Old buildings in the centre, houses out towards Batajnica and installations extended piecemeal — Zemun calls for measuring before quoting.
Response time: 60–90 minutes
Zemun is two different stories in one municipality, and that changes the approach.
The old core
In the houses and buildings of the old part, the installation has usually been extended in several stages — something from the sixties, something from the nineties, something last year. Junction boxes are buried or painted over, and nobody knows which route goes where.
Nothing here gets estimated by eye. We measure insulation and continuity per circuit and produce a survey before quoting, because the difference between "replace the board" and "replace the board and then discover half the wiring is finished" is a whole order of magnitude.
Walls are often thick solid brick, which changes both the cost of chasing and whether a cable can be pulled through without breaking the wall open.
The houses out towards Batajnica
Zemun Polje, Altina, Galenika, Batajnica — mostly houses, often with an electrode that has never been measured. In a house, earthing is not a formality: it is the only protection standing between a fault on an appliance body and a person, and a tape put in the ground in the eighties is rarely still making the contact it once did.
The second common finding is outdoor wiring — garden lighting, a feed to the garage, a socket in the shed — run without proper moisture protection. That is the classic cause of an RCD that trips after rain.
What we do most
Earthing inspection and repair in the houses, board reworks in the old-core flats, and diagnostics where the installation has been altered repeatedly.
Response time
Central Zemun and Gardoš 60 to 90 minutes. Batajnica and Zemun Polje are at the upper end and occasionally beyond — if it is urgent, say so at the start so we can plan the order.
Common questions
Do you work in the old Zemun houses?
We do, and there measurement comes before any quote. In the old core the installation has usually been extended several times across decades, so without measuring there is no knowing what is where.
I have a house — how is earthing checked?
Electrode resistance is measured, plus protective conductor continuity per circuit. In older houses the electrode is often a tape in the ground that lost contact long ago, and only an instrument shows that.
How far out do you go — Batajnica, Altina, Galenika?
All of them. Zemun Polje, Altina, Galenika, Batajnica and Nova Galenika are within range; for Batajnica reckon on the upper end of the time.
My installation has been extended several times. Where do you start?
With a survey and measurement of the existing circuits. Only once you know what goes where and what state it is in does it make sense to discuss what changes and what stays.
