What we collect and why

When you submit the fault assessment form

To give an estimate and schedule a visit at all, we ask for:

DataWhy we need it
NameSo we know who we are speaking to
Phone numberThe only way to deliver the estimate and agree a time
Property locationTo work out travel and arrival time
Property type (flat, house, shop, office)It changes the type of installation and the estimate
Fault description and categoryThe estimate itself
UrgencyThe order in which we go out
Photos of the faultAssessment without a visit — the point of the service

A cryptographic hash of your IP address is also recorded automatically. The IP address itself is not stored. The hash exists only to spot abuse of the form and cannot be reversed back into an IP address.

Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in keeping the form from being abused.

When you only read the site

We measure visits with Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Those measurements are aggregate and cookieless — we set no tracking cookie, build no visitor profile, and do not recognise you between visits. That is why this site has no cookie banner.

The only cookie we set is NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers whether you chose Serbian, English or Russian. It is functional and does not track you.

Who the data is passed to

We use four processors, each for exactly one thing:

  • Supabase — the database and storage holding the submission and its photos.
  • Resend — sending the email that notifies us of a new submission.
  • hCaptcha — checking the form was not submitted by a bot. In doing so hCaptcha processes your IP address under its own privacy policy.
  • Vercel — hosting the site and the aggregate analytics mentioned above.

We do not sell, trade, or use your data for advertising. We pass it to nobody beyond the processors listed above and, where the law expressly requires it, the competent authority.

How long we keep it

  • Submissions and photos: for as long as the enquiry and any resulting job are being handled, and at most 24 months from the last communication. They are deleted after that.
  • Submissions marked as spam: deleted within 30 days.
  • IP hash: deleted together with the submission.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, its correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability, and to object to processing. One message to kontakt@nikvolt.com is enough — we reply within 30 days.

You can ask for deletion in a single message and you do not have to explain why. The only exception is data we are required to retain under accounting rules once a job has been invoiced.

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you may contact the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to the submission database is limited to the owner's password-protected account through a separate, non-public sign-in. Photos live in storage that is not publicly indexed.

No system is impenetrable and we will not claim otherwise. Should an incident occur, we will notify those affected without delay.
