Industrial electrical installations
Three-phase distribution, control panels, motors and machine wiring — for shops, workshops and small plants.
In a commercial space a fault costs more than the repair — it costs the day you could not trade. So the emphasis is different from a flat: reliability first, everything else after.
What we do
Three-phase distribution — sized to actual load and balanced across phases. Unevenly loaded phases are the most common hidden problem in commercial units and the easiest to fix once measured.
Control panels — assembly, wiring and labelling, with a drawing that stays in the panel.
Motors and machines — connection, protection, motor starters and thermal overloads set to actual current rather than to whatever was there.
Adapting a space to a new use — the most common job when taking on a unit whose distribution was built for something else entirely.
What always goes with the job
Measurements: insulation, loop impedance, earth electrode resistance, phase sequence. In a commercial space that is not a formality — it is what you have to show at an inspection and to an insurer.
A drawing and labelling. If the next fault turns up on a Sunday evening, the difference between a labelled and an unlabelled panel is several hours.
How a quote is put together
For a quote we need the type of business, a list of the larger loads, and a photo of the existing panel. That is usually enough for an indicative price without a visit.
Common questions
Do you take on small workshops?
Yes. Most of this work is exactly that — shops, bakeries, salons, joinery and car workshops. Places where one three-phase load changed the load picture and the installation stayed as it was.
What is the most common problem in commercial units?
Unbalanced loading across phases, and distribution sized for the previous tenant. When a space changes use the installation is almost never adjusted, so it shows up first as overheating and nuisance tripping.
Do you build control panels?
Yes, with a drawing. A panel without a drawing is a panel nobody can service next time, so documentation goes with the job rather than as an extra.
Do you work outside business hours?
We do. For premises that cannot stop trading we arrange night or Sunday slots.
